‘Lesson Zero’ is an initiative aimed exclusively at new students, designed to introduce them to the services and facilities of the degree course and to provide useful advice and tips on how to get off to the best possible start at university. ‘Lesson Zero’ is also Welcome Day. The event is designed to introduce new students to academic life and familiarise them with all the services and opportunities offered by the University, in addition to those provided by the degree programme.
Generally, the ‘Lesson Zero’/Welcome Day takes place in place of the first class of the degree course.
